Walsh Has Leadership Experience with Subway, Pizza Hut, PepsiCo and Michaels

Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa has named Carrie Walsh chief executive officer. She has extensive experience leading consumer and franchise brands, including Subway, Pizza Hut, PepsiCo and Michaels.

“I love working with brands that truly make a positive impact on people’s lives, and this is at the center of what Hand & Stone does — providing relaxing, impactful services to its members,” Walsh said. “I can’t wait to make an impact on even more people, allowing them to take a moment to pause and just relax. When I was thinking about what could come next in my career, this opportunity immediately resonated with me not only because of how powerful the brand’s promise is, but also because of how our franchisees are executing it with excellence. When I visited the spas and reviewed the customer data, it was clear that the foundation at Hand & Stone is very strong, and I wanted to be a part of continuing its growth story.”

She plans to foster Hand & Stone’s growth by taking a customer-centric approach to evolving the brand experience and supporting franchise owners. “Leadership is all about listening and learning, not just with the direct team, but also with our franchisees to help identify and unlock the biggest opportunities to drive growth for the brand. I want our franchisees to feel supported and to remain in lockstep, working truly as our partners to help achieve the brand’s goals.”

Walsh, a Hand & Stone member herself, said that as a working wife and mother of three, she understands the importance of taking a moment for self-care.
