Partnership Expected to Drive Significant Growth for the Waxing Franchise
Waxxpot®, an emerging franchisor that offers full-body waxing services to men and women, has joined the portfolio of the franchise sales organization Franchise FastLane. Waxxpot’s boutique-style salons feature two proprietary wax formulas that don’t require temperature extremes and are used for hair removal in soft and hard locations of the body.
Franchise FastLane is very excited about Waxxpot’s inclusivity – its tagline is “Waxxpot welcomes everybody and every body” – and exceptionally strong leadership team. Waxxpot’s business model offers competitive advantages in the booming personal care sector, which is expected to grow by 3% this year, according to the 2024 Franchise Economic Outlook report produced by the International Franchise Association and independent researcher FRANdata. Market research firm Fact.mr valued the global hair removal wax market at nearly $10.2 billion in 2023 and projected it would reach $18.4 billion by 2033.
How Waxxpot Started
The original concept behind the Waxxpot brand began in 2003, when founder Daniel Sadd began renting beauty suites to independent contractors under the name Salon Lofts®; today 4,000-plus beauty professionals work in more than 200 of these suites. Eleven years later, the prosperity of Salon Lofts prompted Sadd to create Waxxpot, with a business model employing highly skilled aestheticians to do waxing from head to toe. The brand began franchising in 2020.
At each franchise location, highly trained Waxxpot aestheticians serve clients in four to six treatment rooms within the 1,600-square-foot salons. Waxxpot now has 25-plus locations in operation, 14 of them franchises and 11 that are corporate-owned.
Franchise FastLane Expectations
Manny Guzman, director of development for Waxxpot at Franchise FastLane, believes the brand is well-positioned in the waxing services market and will experience vigorous growth. “The beauty industry is evolving and growing,” Guzman says, “and Waxxpot is at the forefront, offering waxing services that more than meet the expectations of today’s consumers. Their approach isn’t just about aesthetics – it’s about creating a community where everyone feels welcomed and valued.” Guzman says he’s confident that the service excellence and inclusive ambiance, coupled with the brand’s executive team of franchise and salon-industry veterans, will make Waxxpot a go-to brand among consumers
Mike Abramson, president and chief operating officer of Ohio-based Waxxpot, believes that outsourcing franchise development to Franchise FastLane will prove to be a game changer for the growth of his company. “We couldn’t be more excited to team up with Franchise FastLane and accelerate our franchise development and sales efforts.”
