Krone Believes in the Health and Wellness Industry’s Growth Potential
As president of Extraordinary Brands, which is the franchisor of pūrvelo indoor cycling, RJ Krone will expand the franchise umbrella’s footprint. “The boutique health and wellness industry has immense growth potential. I relish the opportunity to build a strong foundation for the franchise and foster a trusting relationship with our franchisees,” Krone said.
The opportunity for entrepreneurs and established businesses to thrive attracted him to the franchise business model. As a wellness enthusiast and franchising expert with 13 years of experience, Extraordinary Brands was the best of both worlds for Krone. His work with the Spring-Green Lawn Care franchise and launching the franchising program at the Pvolve fitness brand gave him firsthand experience in the collaborative nature of franchising, which he describes as his favorite aspect of the business model.
Krone looks forward to collaborating with Extraordinary Brands’ leadership team, and CEO Paul Flick said Krone’s “leadership acumen and growth mindset will be invaluable to Extraordinary Brands’ expansion within the health and wellness industry.”

Defining Leadership
Krone sees four crucial ingredients to effective leadership: adaptability, resilience, a strong work ethic and effective communication skills. He explains that leaders should be “able to inspire and motivate a team as well as have a strategic outlook and the ability to execute plans effectively. Ultimately a great leader fosters a positive and inclusive working environment.”
As president, Krone said he’ll work to keep Extraordinary Brands ahead of the curve on trends in the fitness industry, including an increased focus on community-building and combining holistic wellness with exercise for a full-service approach.
Recipe for Growth
Based on his experience, Krone believes franchisors should prioritize building strong relationships with their franchisees in order to grow. He explains that this includes “providing comprehensive support and training, maintaining open lines of communication, and being responsive to franchisee needs.” Concentrating on innovation and exploring opportunities for expanding a brand’s portfolio also contribute to sustained growth in the franchising industry, said Krone, citing Extraordinary Brands’ sister company, Premium Service Brands (PSB), as a model to emulate.
On the franchisee front, Krone advocates that entrepreneurs focus on their core values and surround themselves with a dedicated team. He also emphasizes the importance of being prepared to adapt and persevere so that business owners can turn challenges into growth opportunities.
About Extraordinary Brands
Flick established the Extraordinary Brands franchise umbrella to apply his franchising expertise to the wellness sector, building on the success of PSB in the home services industry. In addition to the cycling modality with pūrvelo, the franchise umbrella plans to grow with brands that focus on yoga, barre and Pilates.
