Daszkowski Leads IFPG’s Growth Through Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Development
International Franchise Professionals Group (IFPG) founder and CEO Don Daszkowski has transitioned to the role of Executive Chairman, Head of M&A and Corporate Development. His main focus in this new role on the Board of Directors is growing the IFPG platform through acquisitions and corporate development. As part of this leadership transition, COO Matt Otskey has been promoted to CEO.
“IFPG has never been stronger,” Daszkowski said. “We have an outstanding leadership team, and Matt has spent the last four years earning the trust of our team, members, franchisor partners and board. This transition allows him to focus on leading the business while I focus on growing it. I’m excited to focus on acquisitions, expanding the IFPG platform, building strategic partnerships and finding new ways to create value for our members and franchisor partners.”
With the backing of CNL Strategic Capital and Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP), IFPG has been able to expand its platform through the acquisitions of Business Alliance Inc., a franchise broker network, and Franchise Business Review, an independent market research firm. IFPG also launched Franchise Ignition, a new organic lead generation platform created through its acquisition of St. Jacques Marketing.
“CNL and LLCP have been great partners,” Daszkowski said. “Together, we’ll continue investing in technology, acquisitions and growth opportunities that strengthen the IFPG platform and create even more value for our members and franchisor partners. I’ve always believed that if you do the right thing and put relationships first, the business will follow. I’m proud of the culture we’ve built.”
In addition to his role on IFPG’s Board of Directors, Daszkowski will also continue his work with the International Franchise Association’s Supplier Forum Advisory Board and the North American Securities Administrators Association’s Franchise and Business Opportunities Project Groups, where he contributes to franchising’s evolving regulatory landscape.
Daszkowski is incredibly optimistic about the future of IFPG. “I want to thank all of our members. None of this would have been possible without all of you. I’ll continue to be actively involved in IFPG, and I truly believe the best is yet to come.”
