Silvestri Praises the Restaurant Franchisor’s Leadership Team and Reputation
Craveworthy Brands restaurant franchisor has announced the appointment of John Silvestrias its first ever in-house general counsel. He utilizes his 25-plus years of legal experience to oversee corporate governance, franchise compliance, mergers and acquisitions negotiation, and risk management across Craveworthy’s portfolio, which includes Genghis Grill, BD’s Mongolian Grill, Flat Top Grill, Wing It On!, The Budlong Southern Chicken, Krafted Burger Bar + Tap, Soom Soom Fresh, Sigri Indian BBQ, Hot Chicken Takeover and taïm mediterranean kitchen.
“Craveworthy is experiencing tremendous momentum, and it’s exciting to be part of a company that’s growing by leaps and bounds, while redefining what success looks like in the restaurant and franchise industries,” Silvestri said. “The opportunity to help build a strong legal foundation during this growth phase is both a challenge and a privilege I’m looking forward to in my new role.”
He added that the vision and stellar reputations of Craveworthy’s leaders immediately caught his attention. “Craveworthy’s innovative approach to building and growing a multi-brand restaurant platform is truly inspiring, and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be a part of a hospitality-first organization.”

CEO and founder Gregg Majewski said Silvestri’s expertise and leadership will be a game changer for Craveworthy. “With his guidance, we’re going to develop a strong, dynamic foundation for the company to hit on our immediate tactical priorities and long-term strategic business goals,” Majewski said.
Passion for the Law
Silvestri’s prior experience includes more than 20 yearsas general counsel for The John Buck Company, a real estate development firm, where he directed legal strategy, advised executive leadership and managed corporate governance for more than 150 subsidiaries and affiliates. Notably, he negotiated a multi-country partnership in Abu Dhabi, oversaw risk management programs and managed external counsel across litigation, arbitration and contract negotiations.
Silvestri also worked with franchises on large-scale office and residential projects with mixed-use components. “I’ve always admired the entrepreneurial spirit behind franchising – giving individuals the chance to be a part of a larger vision while maintaining a strong community connection and building a business for yourself,” he said.
Silvestri stresses the importance for franchisors and franchisees to understand the franchise disclosure document and standardizing procedures. “Having a foundational legal framework from the beginning allows everyone involved to focus on a sustainable and compliant growth of the business,” he said.
While he isn’t at work, Silvestri enjoys the outdoors and is a self-proclaimed national park junkie. “I’ve been fortunate enough to visit several parks, and I’m always planning my next adventure,” he said.
