
Erickson Will Drive Growth for Both Brands Through Technology Advancement and Product Management
Chris Erickson has been appointed vice president of product and strategy of two brands: Motto Mortgage, the first national mortgage brokerage franchise; and wemlo, the first third-party mortgage processing solution. With this new role, Erickson’s responsibilities include product management and oversight of training and support for both brands.
For Motto Mortgage, Erickson will streamline the product ecosystem for franchisees. Additionally, he will work to introduce new technology to the mortgage broker network that will allow for scalability. With wemlo, Erickson will enhance its existing loan processing platform. This will improve user experience and continue building innovative technology solutions.
In a statement, Erickson said, “I’ve always prided myself on being a leader who turns ideas into action, leveraging my refined skill set to take a concept from ideation to go-to-market in the most effective way. I am excited to join the Motto and wemlo teams during this time of rapid growth and am honored to be leading the charge in the development of an origination platform that is poised to disrupt the mortgage industry.”

A Financial Industry Veteran
Erickson is an industry veteran with more than two decades of financial services experience. He served as the vice president of product management for Guaranteed Rate, a mortgage and finance company, and head of product for rental property solutions at CoreLogic, an information services company. Erickson was also the assistant vice president and product manager for Mr. Cooper, which was previously Nationstar Mortgage. His other roles include product management roles at Caliber, CitiBank, and Primary Residential Mortgage.
