The Announcement Comes as the Nashville Hot Chicken Concept Begins Franchising

Angry Chickz, a California-based Nashville hot chicken concept, enlisted Mike LaRue to launch its new franchise offering. LaRue will use his two decades of experience as vice president of franchise development to expand the popular, 24-unit fast-food brand.

He was attracted to Angry Chickz’s history, including founder/CEO David Mkhitaryan’s story and vision of positively impacting communities. “Both consumers and investors are starting to believe in something bigger than the brand itself, and I’m excited to help bring that vision to life,” LaRue said. He appreciates the talent of the brand’s leadership team and believes that they are building something special.

Mkhitaryan released a statement regarding LaRue’s new position. “Mike’s extensive experience and commitment to driving growth align perfectly with our vision for Angry Chickz. Together, we’re excited to bring the life-changing hot chicken to new communities and offer a taste of our unique flavors and unmatched customer service.” LaRue has spent his career developing and scaling franchise brands from the ground up. Since this is Mkhitaryan’s first venture into franchising, LaRue will use his experience to ensure Angry Chickz is protected during this next phase of growth.

Unintentional Franchising Journey

LaRue was drawn to franchising because he liked the idea of working with investors who are passionate about building businesses. After two decades in franchising, he still enjoys having a part in developing a business that can scale and have an impact.

In LaRue’s experience, being a successful franchise owner is more than just the product or service; it’s also about the people, community and commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience. He believes giving customers a great experience should be the main focus for franchisees and committing themselves to the communities they serve is vital for their success, he added.

If he could offer advice to candidates, LaRue would urge them to focus on building strong relationships and prioritize customer service. He also feels they should be prepared for hard work and dedication because the franchise journey requires commitment and resilience.
