Seitz has Expertise in IV Therapy and Functional Medicine

Hydrate IV Bar, a wellness brand specializing in IV therapy and vitamin injections, has appointed Dr. Chris Seitz as fractional chief medical officer. Seitz, a board-certified emergency physician, will oversee clinical protocols, medical training and quality assurance across the Hydrate IV Bar franchise network.

“I’m excited to partner with a brand that’s already thriving and help take it to the next level. That includes refining clinical standards, responsibly expanding their offerings and being a trusted resource to Hydrate’s franchise owners,” Seitz said.

He cited the wellness franchise’s loyal customer base and deep commitment to medical integrity as major selling points. “The brand is not just selling wellness; it’s delivering a consistent, safe and elevated experience at every location,” Seitz said. “The leadership team had a clear vision for where they wanted to go, and they were looking for a medical partner to help scale that vision thoughtfully. It was a natural fit.”

Hydrate IV Bar founder and CEO Katie Gillberg said Seitz’s addition to the leadership strengthens the wellness franchise’s medical foundation. “Dr. Seitz isn’t just an expert in IV therapy and functional medicine; he’s passionate about making high-quality wellness care more accessible,” Gillberg said. “His guidance will help us expand our impact while staying true to our commitment to safety, science and exceptional client care.”

The Future of Wellness Franchising

Seitz expressed optimism in the future of wellness franchising because consumers are becoming more proactive about their health. “They’re looking for trusted, high-quality experiences,” he said. “Brands like Hydrate that deliver those experiences consistently are well-positioned to thrive. Hydrate’s team is laser-focused on safety, professionalism and the client experience. That means rigorous training for providers, medically sound protocols and an environment that feels more like a boutique spa than a clinic.”

In addition to medicine, Seitz has entrepreneurial experience, having founded Guardian MD, a health care technology platform, in 2021. He will continue serving as Guardian MD’s CEO and chief medical officer. He also serves as chairman of the American IV Association’s Scientific Advisory Board.
