A Commitment to REP’M’s Franchise Partners’ Success Led to Carillo’s Promotion as Senior Director of Franchise Development

REP’M Group, a leading franchise development company, has promoted Jackie Carillo from director of franchise development to senior director of franchise development. She joined REP’M in 2022 and has led franchise development for Pause Studio, a mind and body recovery franchise. REP’M’s other brand partners include 4Ever Young Anti Aging Solutions, Splash and Dash Groomerie & Boutique, Garage Kings, MilkShake Factory, Alloy Personal Training, Facialworks, 2nd Family, Art of Drawers, sugaringLA, HOMEstretch and HealthSource.

Carillo cited an experienced leadership team and a strong corporate culture as the main selling points for joining REP’M Group two years ago. “The growth REP’M Group has experienced in that short time is amazing. They continue to bring on exciting new brands and add to the team to support those brands,” she said.

REP’M Group’s dedication to responsible franchising is an important aspect of its culture, Carillo said. While some franchisors may be focused on opening as many territories as possible, they should always choose candidates based on their goals and qualifications, she said.

Jackie Carillo is the new senior director of franchise development for REP’M Group.

In her role, Carillo said transparency is key to developing positive relationships with franchisors and franchisees. “I think you have to genuinely care about the success of the franchisee and the franchisor,” she said. “I also think it is really important to help get our franchisees open. Luckily, we have our BUILD’M division to handle that. The sooner our partners get open, the sooner they start making money.”

Carillo, who is passionate about health and wellness, also expressed optimism about the future of wellness franchising. “I love the idea of making these modalities more accessible for people and doing it in a way that makes them want to experience it,” she said. “I think we will only see this industry grow as people continue to be more proactive with their health, and places like Pause continue to make these services more accessible for people.”

Jen Rieck, vice president of franchise development for REP’M Group, said working with Carillo has been a privilege. “When I’m speaking with prospective franchisees, they express that Jackie is a true coach who always has their best interest at the forefront of everything she does,” Rieck said. “Jackie has an ability to gain instant trust and credibility because she is direct and honest about the franchise opportunities that she’s presenting, and her matchmaking abilities are a gift. I look forward to watching her bring her knowledge and experience into this new role as senior director of franchise development.”

Discovering Franchising

Carillo landed her first franchise development job in 2017 at MY SALON Suite through a connection she made as a corporate event planner. “I knew nothing about the world of franchising, but I quickly fell in love with it and knew I would be staying in this industry long-term,” Carillo said. “Having the ability to help people become entrepreneurs is very exciting for me. I love getting to know my candidates and being a part of one of the biggest decisions of their lives.”

Carillo recently began her own franchise ownership journey; she and her husband are now franchisees with Alloy Personal Training.
