9Round Kickboxing Acquires iLoveKickboxing

9Round Franchise Plans to Expand iLoveKickboxing Sites from Current 56 to 100-Plus

9Round Kickboxing Fitness franchise has acquired the smaller iLoveKickboxing franchise. With this acquisition, Greenville, S.C.-based 9Round becomes the sole proprietor of all 56 iLoveKickboxing franchise units in the United States and Canada.

9Round plans to leave iLoveKickboxing’s branding and fitness offerings intact so that the two kickboxing franchises will maintain their distinct identities. 9Round offers 24/7 individual-driven workouts with 24/7 access, which permits its members to stay fit based on their schedules. iLoveKickboxing appeals to clients who want to participate in scheduled group classes.

Plans for the iLoveKickboxing Franchise

In a news release announcing the acquisition, 9Round CEO Shannon Hudson touched on plans for enlarging the footprint of the iLoveKickboxing brand. “We believe in the power of kickboxing to transform lives, and this acquisition allows us to share that passion with even more people.

“Our goal is to surpass the 100-location milestone [for iLoveKickboxing], expanding the reach of iLoveKickboxing,” Hudson continued. “Right now, we are committed to supporting our existing franchise owners and in due course will offer new opportunities for entrepreneurs to join our thriving community.”

Dan Castellini, former CEO of iLoveKickboxing, predicted a bright future for the brand. “We’re confident iLoveKickboxing will continue to grow and flourish under this new ownership agreement. iLoveKickboxing’s community-focused class approach empowers individuals on their fitness journey and complements 9Round’s convenience offering. About 9Round and iLoveKickboxing Franchises

Hudson and his wife, Heather, founded 9Round Kickboxing in 2008. The news release describes 9Round as “the world’s largest kickboxing franchise, both in gyms and online, that brings kickboxing fitness training to the average person in a 30-minute, trainer-guided, full-body circuit format.”

Shannon Hudson built the proprietary 9Round program that consists of nine challenging workout stations. At present, 9Round has nearly 500 9Round locations in 41 U.S. states and more than a dozen other countries, including Australia, Canada, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.

The iLoveKickboxing franchise was designed around trainer-led classes that promise to suit all body types, the news release stated. The sessions combine kickboxing’s cardio with full-body high-intensity interval training (HIIT). Founded in 2012, iLoveKickboxing has 56 studios in the U.S. and Canada.
